In preparation for an upcoming local late July competition, we are excited to announce that Flora Palu, the coach of the French National Youth/Junior Women's Sabre Team, will be collaborating with our coaching team to organize a five-day fencing training camp for your child.

The training camp will feature engaging activities designed to unlock potential, coach instruction to refine techniques, and group combat drills to enhance skills. Under the guidance of our esteemed coaching team, which includes both national and international level coaches, your child will have the opportunity to improve their fencing techniques and deepen their understanding of competition. This intensive training experience is designed to help them make remarkable progress.

為了即將到來的本地七月下旬的比賽做好準備，我們很榮幸宣布，法國國家少年/青年女子佩劍團體教練 Flora Palu 將與我們的教練團隊合作，為您的孩子打造一個為期五天的擊劍訓練營。

Foil is the most common starting weapon. The foil is the lightest and most precise blade, with scoring only obtainable through stabbing the torso. It contains bladework and an understanding of rules that translates well to the other two blades.

Sabre touches can be scored by making contact with the opponent’s upper body, and doesn’t require thrusting like the other two. This makes Sabre typically the most footwork intensive, with their bouts also being the shortest.

Epee is the heaviest blade. Scoring is obtained through stabbing any part of the body at any point in time. Epee bouts are the longest, and require the most upper body strength and endurance.

In preparation for the US fencing regionals and the international circuit in December, as well as the HK Cadet and Junior competition in January, we are thrilled to host a 6-day intensive training camp led by the esteemed Head Coach of an Ivy League fencing program.

This camp offers a rare opportunity for athletes to gain invaluable insights and sharpen their skills under the guidance of a world-class coach. Participants will delve into advanced techniques, from precision footwork to strategic blade work, learning the same training methodologies that shape some of the top fencers in the collegiate arena. Athletes will also gain insights into mental resilience and competition mindset, essential tools for peak performance on the international stage.
